Sandy Bay is on the Northern Coromandel Peninsular, not far from the top end or Cape Colville. It is what can only be described as a coastal treasure with its remote location making it a favourite for holiday homes and lucky regular visitors. This is a large painting of 1000mm x 760mm with a strong focus on simplicity and a feeling of relaxation. The island in the distance is Great Barrier Island which is strongly featured in the Northern Coromandel Landscape. Winterland' is the name of this painting which is from the slopes of Mt Ruapehu across the North Island King Country towards Mt Taranaki. This painting is in three segments, together about 1m wide, and finished individually in a Rimu Box Frame.
